Aims and Scope

The Singapore Dental Journal (SDJ) is the official publication of the Singapore Dental Association. It is published once a year and aims to advance the practice of dentistry among members of the Association through the dissemination of information on developments in the field of dental science and research. The scope of the journal covers all fields related to the present-day practice of dentistry and includes Restorative Dentistry (Operative Dentistry, Dental Materials, Prosthodontics and Endodontics), Preventive Dentistry (Periodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Public Health and Health Services), Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery and Oral Pathology. Articles pertaining to dental education and the social, political and economic aspect of dental practice are also welcomed. Articles are divided into 4 types. These are (a) Invited Papers, (b) Original Articles (Scientific, Review and Case Reports), (c) Abstracts of Singapore Research and (d) News and reports. Reprints of Singapore articles published in international premiere journals may also be included if space permits. All original articles will be subjected to a peer-review process involving at least two expert reviewers appointed by the respective Section Editors.
